The New York Times just posted an article on Agriculture in Egypt. I must say, from what we have seen and all the lectures we have attended, it is spot on.
I have to say, that soil looks very dry, it's amazing that anything can grow. But seeing some of the photos, it looks like there are a lot of crops that are doing really well.
It sure makes you appreciate the food you have to eat and how much we should conserve our fresh water supply.
Christine - I am so excited to see your pictures when you get back! I must admit I have been lax in reading the blog, and therefore in posting comments as well...
It sounds like everything is going swimmingly, and you do not appear to have burned to a crisp in any of the pictures.
